We are in the process of
doing a major upgrade to our website. Be sure to check back often because
we should have a brand new look, new content and shows very shortly. In
the meantime, please enjoy shows 79 - 84. Full show notes and artist
links will be updated with the new website.
On the show today I feature music from artists that have either sent me their CD
or emailed me directly giving me their tracks for play on the podcast.
Show # 77 - Podcasting Promotes Music Download
now
Anyone who doubts the influence of music podcasting
should not miss this episode. We get to hear directly from an artist that
had the biggest boost in their career because their song was played on a
podcast. And as always we have exciting new artists and a good mix of
rock, blues, and more.
The summer may be coming to an end and school is starting back in many
areas. Everyone is busy with last minute chores so I thought I would put
together a show with great up-tempo songs that you can take with you to keep
happy.
In this week's episode, you get to hear some hot music and listen to me complain
about the humid weather we are having and the resulting scratchy throat that I
have due to the A/C being on all the time.
This week I have new songs from old friends and some great new music that I
found on the Podsafe Music Network along with other sites as well. We
rock, get a little country, smooth things out with great singer/songwriter tunes
and then roll with the blues.
Let's Talk About Love - Dahlia Wakefield [Artist Website]
Show # 70 - Wind, Rain and Martha RedboneDownload
now
We were having heavy rain and thunderstorms during the recording of this episode
but not bad enough to keep from bringing you the show. This is almost an
all female show and includes an encore presentation of my interview with Martha
Redbone.
In this episode we play new and previously aired tunes along with a repeat of
the interview of Sonny Combs that appeared originally in Big Break episode #12.
Summer has arrived along with the heat and humidity. This week I offer up
some great music that goes great with summer activities including rock, pop,
blues and smooth jazz numbers.
Show # 65 - Rock and Rain, Sophia Ramos specialDownload
now
During the recording of this week's show, I had to contend with the wind, rain
and noise created by a tropical storm that was moving through the area. As
the show progresses you can hear more background noise when I am talking.
But that didn't stop me from playing some great new music and include portions
of my interview with the Rock Goddess herself, Sophia Ramos. I spoke with
Sophia over a year ago and she was my 2nd interview guest.
My Baby Don't Wear No Panties - "Mean" Gene Kelton & The Diehards [PMN]
Show # 63 - A Mark Kerr/Julie Gribble specialDownload
now
On this episode I pulled from the show archives to bring you a back-to-back
interview and music review of blues guitarist Mark Kerr and singer/songwriter
Julie Gribble.
In this episode I interview singer/songwriter Chris Church and listen to songs
from his 2004 CD release Let The Echo Decide. We also talk about and play
songs from his soon to be released CD Your Sun Is About To Shine coming out on
Fundamental Records.
Songs by Chris Church:
You Better Move On Now, Baby
Oh So Gone
Broken Town
Unwound
This Ain't No Way
Your Sun Is About To Shine
Show # 60 - Holly Woods interview (59:15)Download
now
In this episode I feature a great interview and the music of Holly Woods.
Holly was the lead singer and founding member of the 80's Canadian rock band
Toronto. In the interview you get to hear about being in a band in the
80's and the highs and lows of being in a gold and platinum selling band, only to
have your record label go bankrupt and your new producer dying while recording
your latest album. Holly has a new album coming out containing material
recorded in 1985 and recently resurrected by Cyclone Records. You get to
hear five tracks from the new CD plus the stories behind the songs.
All songs by Holly Woods from the Live It Up CD
Until We Change
The Fall
Where Are We Now

Only For The Moment
Show # 59 - Good Friends, Great Artists (59:15) Download
now
On this episode I feature artists that I have been personally introduced to,
either in person or by email asking me to play their music on the show. We
start off with the blues and blues/rock selections and progress through
different styles and genres ending with some great acoustic singer/songwriter
songs. I also have a brand new (unreleased) track from Mark Kerr's
upcoming album. You won't hear this song on any other podcast.
For awhile I started having difficulty finding podsafe music that I liked for the show, but suddenly I have been able to find some great new independent music on the Podsafe Music Network, Myspace, and
from iSound.com. In this episode I have some more great blues, rock, southern rock, and jazz selections.
This show started out to be all mellow tunes, but as usual as I was going
through my play list I could not help but include some upbeat and rocking tunes
as well. So we have another rollercoaster of a show with music across
multiple genres and styles.
